Design & Technology Showcase- 2025

The Design and Technology Showcase is an annual event that showcases the work of our graduate (MFA) and undergraduate (BA) design emphasis students. The individual displays include examples from realized and theoretical projects for Theatre, Film, Opera, Dance, and Theme Entertainment.

The attendees are able to peek into the fascinating world of the student designers and technicians, and find out what it takes to actualize a production for Live and Screen performances. The purpose of the showcase is to raise awareness and appreciation of the artistry and craftsmanship that are key to the success of any given production in the Entertainment Industry.

The brand new Prebys stage at SDSU serves as the venue for this event. This one-day event is open to the public, and professionals from the entertainment industry are invited to view the showcase. A reception will be held at 6:30pm on the Lamden Stage where all participants can mingle with family, friends, and industry professionals.
